LH Media

Your details, and what I do with them.

Short version: I use what you send me to reply about a website. I do not sell it, share it, or hand it on. Ask me to delete it and I will.

Who I am

LH Media is a one-person web design business run by Louis Hopkins in Essex. I am the data controller for anything you send me through this site or through an advert.

Contact: louis@lh-media.co.uk

What I collect

Only what you type in yourself:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you give it
  • What you tell me about your business, such as its name, where you are, your current website, and what you are after

If you reach me through a Facebook or Instagram advert, Meta passes me the answers you gave in the form. Meta collects that data under its own privacy policy, not mine.

Why I collect it

To reply to you about a website for your business. That is the whole reason, and I do not use it for anything else.

The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked me to get in touch, so I get in touch. If you would rather I did not, say so and I will stop.

What I never do

  • I do not sell your details
  • I do not pass them to anyone else to market to you
  • I do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask for
  • I do not use them to train anything

Who else sees it

Only the tools I need to run the business, and only as processors acting on my instructions: the host this site runs on, the database that stores enquiries, and my email and phone. They are bound to keep it secure and cannot use it for their own purposes.

How long I keep it

If we end up working together, for six years after the last invoice, because HMRC requires it.

If we do not, twelve months, then I delete it. You can ask me to delete it sooner and I will.

Your rights

You can ask me for a copy of what I hold, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email louis@lh-media.co.uk and I will do it within thirty days, usually the same week.

If you think I have handled your data badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. I would rather you told me first so I can put it right.

Cookies

This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. If that changes, this page changes with it and you will be asked first.
